Q&A
Treasure: “How do you like Atlanta so far?”
Walter: “I love the city of Atlanta. Everyone says New York is a city that never sleeps, but I think Atlanta is a city that never sleeps because I never sleep.”
Treasure: “Why do you think you never get any sleep?”
Walter: “Between night life in Atlanta and the salon I never get any sleep.”
Treasure: “What made you move to Atlanta?”
Walter: “I find my worth more here being in Atlanta.”
Treasure: “What do you think is the biggest difference between Atlanta and Memphis?”
Walter: “People in Memphis are cheap. They don’t like to pay the price that I’m worth. I have not run into that problem in Atlanta.”
Treasure: “What do you do on your downtime?”
Walter: “I love hanging out with my friends. All of my best friends live here in Atlanta. I spend majority of my time with them.”
Treasure: “What Inspires you?”
Walter: “I inspire myself really. I like being around other hard workers, so competition inspires me. If there’s something I can be competitive with. I’ll be really competitive.”
Treasure: “Why do you like working for Icon Hair and Wigs?”
Walter: “I love, love, love Toni... When I met everyone it seemed like the right place to be. I love the vibes, clientele, stylists. I just love, love, love Icon!”
Treasure: “What are your plans for the future?”
Walter: “In the near future, I plan on winning in the Bronner Bros Hair Show in February. I also have a spring collection that I probably launch in April. It’s a spring collection of wigs. 5 years down the line, I plan on owning my own salon. Although, 5 years down the line my dream job would be on tour with Beyoncé.
Treasure: “So tell me more about Bronner Brothers, I know you competed before...”
Walter: “I did my first Bronner Bros Hair show August of 2019. I did the rising star competition, I came out third place. From what I’ve been told that’s pretty amazing seeing that it was my first competition.... but I’m going back to claim that first place trophy.
Treasure: “What do you think are your strengths and weakness?
Walter: “I don’t have any weaknesses... Even though some people would say braiding is my weakness, but most people know I don’t like to braid. I can braid, I just don’t want to. My strengths are definitely anything weaves and color.”
